Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is making its way to last-gen consoles. The action-adventure game, which initially launched for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X in 2023, will be available on PS4 and Xbox One starting September 17, Electronic Arts announced on Tuesday. Pre-orders for the game on these older consoles are now open. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will come with optimized visuals to ensure acceptable performance. At its initial release, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor faced notable performance and technical issues on PC and current-gen consoles.
Developer Respawn Entertainment confirmed the September release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS4 and Xbox One and provided details on pre-orders. Those who pre-order the game on these platforms will receive exclusive in-game cosmetics.
Respawn noted that the older versions of the game have been optimized to maximize the hardware capabilities of PS4 and Xbox One. Ensuring optimal performance on these previous-gen consoles is a key focus, especially given the game’s technical challenges on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X at launch.

The studio had previously apologized for the game’s performance issues on PC and subsequently released several updates to improve the game across all platforms.
Additionally, Respawn announced that a new update for the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in the coming weeks. This patch will enhance the game’s technical performance, controls, and overall quality of life.
EA first mentioned Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s arrival on PS4 and Xbox One during an earnings call in August of the previous year. At that time, the port was still in the early stages of development.
The game originally launched on April 28, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. As a direct sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it continues the story of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis as he evades the Empire.
