The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is set to be released in October this year, with rumors indicating that the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s 2025 flagship SoC. Another report suggests that it will deliver outstanding GPU performance.
Recent Geekbench results have emerged for what appears to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 device. The tests show a multi-core score of 8,840 and a single-core score of 2,884. While GPU performance details are still unknown, the CPU improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are significant, showing a nearly 30% increase in multi-core performance and a 35% boost in single-core performance. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 scored 6,810 points in multi-core and 2,125 points in single-core tests.
It’s worth noting that these performance gains could be even more pronounced, as early benchmark tests often involve pre-production samples that may still undergo optimization.
Rumors suggest that Qualcomm is utilizing its in-house Nuvia CPU architecture for the CPU clusters, with a 2+6 configuration. The primary cluster features two cores clocked at an impressive 4.09 GHz, while the six-core efficiency cluster runs at 2.78 GHz. The GPU is identified as the Adreno 830, and the entire chip is produced using TSMC’s 3nm process.
