Rimac Automobili has introduced the Nevera R, an enhanced version of its record-breaking electric supercar, Nevera. The upgraded vehicle now accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (about 97 km/h) in just 1.74 seconds, making it the fastest production electric car in the world.
The Nevera R boasts an impressive 2,107 horsepower, which is 200 hp more than the original model. Improved aerodynamics, increased downforce, and superior road grip have allowed the car to cut its lap time at the Nardo Ring racetrack in Italy by 3.8 seconds compared to its predecessor.
Similar to the standard Nevera, the R model requires “manufacturer supervision” to achieve its top speed of 411 km/h.
The Nevera R will be produced in a limited run of just 40 units, each priced at $2.5 million.
