The ShadPS4 emulator for PC is showing significant progress and can now run the PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption Remastered at around 25 frames per second on a high-performance system.
This achievement came just a few days after the emulator learned to load the game. Given the rapid development, it is expected that the game will soon run at 30 frames per second or higher.
Currently, ShadPS4 can fully run only simple 2D games, but its development is progressing quickly. The application can already load Bloodborne, and it might soon be able to fully run this game, which would free the project from PlayStation 4 exclusivity.
Although there is still much work to be done, ShadPS4 is becoming the leading PlayStation 4 emulator to watch. The progress made in a short period instills confidence in the developers’ future success.
