Next week, Intel will release its new line of mobile processors, the Core Ultra 200V series, codenamed “Lunar Lake.” These processors are designed for ultra-thin laptops, mini-PCs, and gaming consoles, offering excellent performance and energy efficiency. The architecture includes an updated neural processing unit (NPU) that is three times more powerful than in the previous Meteor Lake generation, along with new CPU cores, Lion Cove and Skymont.
A key innovation is the Xe2 graphics subsystem, making its debut in the Arc 140V model. This GPU operates on the Xe2-LPG version, optimized for low power consumption. The Core Ultra 200V series features two graphics options: the Arc 140V with 8 Xe2 cores and the Arc 130V with 7 Xe2 cores.
Recent performance tests on the CompuBench platform show that the Arc 140V runs at 2000 MHz and uses 8 GB of system memory. OpenCL benchmark results indicate that despite a low TDP (17-30 W), the Arc 140V outperforms both the Radeon 780M and the mobile Arc A370M, delivering performance comparable to the GTX 1650.

While OpenCL tests are not ideal for evaluating gaming performance, the Arc 140V shows impressive results in computational tasks, highlighting the strong potential of this iGPU. The official launch of the Core Ultra 200V processors is set for September 3, and soon we’ll see the first gaming performance reviews of this GPU, which promises to be one of the most powerful on the market.
