Instagram has introduced a new feature allowing users to add songs to their profile bios. This update is available in the latest versions of the app for both iOS and Android, as confirmed by Hi-Tech Mail.
According to Meta, users can now personalize their profiles with music, offering a fresh way to express themselves through their favorite tracks.
How to Add Music to Your Instagram Profile Bio:
- Go to your Instagram profile.
- Tap “Edit Profile” under your profile picture and bio.
- In the “Edit Profile” section, select “Add Music to Profile.”
- Choose your preferred track.
- Select a segment (the chorus is selected by default) and tap “Done.”
The added song will not play automatically for visitors; they will need to manually start the track. You can select songs from Instagram’s licensed music library, the same music available for Reels and posts.
This feature mirrors the customizability of MySpace from the 2000s, where users could also add music and other personal elements to their profiles.
