A recent leak has revealed details about a new device from HMD Global, the HMD 225 4G. The technical specifications and design closely resemble the Nokia 225 4G, which was introduced earlier this year, suggesting that the new model might simply be a rebranding for specific markets, according to media reports.
According to the leak, the HMD 225 4G features a 2.4-inch IPS LCD display with a peak brightness of 400 nits. It is powered by the Unisoc T107 chipset and includes a basic 2-megapixel camera sensor.
Additional features include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, two SIM card slots, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also supports FM radio and has an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.
The design of the HMD 225 4G, as shown in the leaked renders, is virtually identical to the Nokia 225 4G. HMD Global has previously used similar strategies, such as releasing the HMD 105 and Nokia 105 (2024) under different brands in various regions.
The company has yet to comment on the leak.
