Apple has announced an “exciting week of announcements” kicking off on Monday, as confirmed by Apple’s VP of marketing, Greg Joswiak, in a social media post. Joswiak highlighted that the focus will be on the Mac lineup and the shift to the new M4 chip.
Accompanied by the words, “Mark your calendars! An exciting week of announcements is ahead, starting Monday morning,” the announcement hints at the release of several new Mac models next week, including 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a redesigned Mac mini, and a 24-inch iMac. All models will run on the M4 chip or its variants, including the M4 Pro and M4 Max. It’s expected that Apple will unveil the new products through a series of press releases, similar to the approach taken with the iPad mini 7, rather than holding a dedicated event.

According to leaks, the 14-inch base model of the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip will come with 16 GB of RAM, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 10-core CPU and GPU, offering a performance boost compared to the base M3 model. Higher-end models with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips will also get performance enhancements without major design changes.
The iMac is also set for an upgrade to the M4 chip while retaining the current 24-inch design. Rumor has it the new iMac will support 16 GB of RAM and have two additional processor cores. Significant changes beyond the new chip’s performance boost aren’t expected.
The most notable update is the redesigned Mac mini. According to Bloomberg, the “new Mac mini will be much smaller than its predecessor, resembling the shape of an Apple TV.” It will feature the M4 and M4 Pro chips, enhancing performance while maintaining compactness.
Alongside these hardware releases, Apple will launch updates for its operating systems, including iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1, tvOS 18.1, and visionOS 2.1. These updates will expand Apple Intelligence capabilities across the entire product lineup.
