Apple A18 Chip: Is the Pro Version Worth It?

Apple is set to unveil its A18 and A18 Pro chips alongside the iPhone 16 lineup soon. According to recent leaks, there may not be a significant performance difference between the standard and Pro versions of these smartphones.

Insiders report that both processors will feature six cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.05 GHz. The primary difference between the A18 and A18 Pro lies in the number of GPU cores: the Pro version will have six, while the standard model will have five. Otherwise, the chips are expected to be identical.

Early rumors also suggest that the entire iPhone 16 lineup will come with at least 8 GB of RAM, with some of it dedicated to running Apple Intelligence AI features. Currently, only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models support these features.

The iPhone 16 and other Apple products are expected to be announced on September 9
